Early pregnancy problems

Bleeding and pain are common symptoms in early pregnancy, which could be due miscarriages or ectopic pregnancy (abnormal implantation of pregnancy)-the commonest is in the fallopian tube.

Ultrasonography and hormone tests are very useful in diagnosing these problems. Miscarriages can be managed without any intervention, use of medications or by minor surgery. Most of ectopic pregnancies can be treated by keyhole surgery; some of them can be managed by medications or without any intervention.
